The short version
This is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details. We have no database of visitors.
What is collected
Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and to keep the site running. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.
The site stores one small item in your browser’s local storage: the language you last chose, so that the homepage can send you to the right version next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-party services
GetYourGuide — tour listings, booking widgets and affiliate links. When you click through or when a booking widget loads, GetYourGuide may set cookies to attribute the referral and to operate the widget. See their own privacy policy for details.
Trip.com — accommodation links. Clicking a hotel link takes you to Trip.com, which may set cookies to attribute the referral.
Google Fonts — typefaces are served from Google’s font CDN, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Affiliate tracking
Links to GetYourGuide and Trip.com carry a partner identifier so that a booking can be credited to this site. That identifier tells our partners the booking came from here. It does not tell us who you are, and we never receive your personal details, payment information or booking contents.
Your rights and choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which will not affect your ability to read this site. You can also clear the stored language preference at any time.
If you are in the UK, EU or another jurisdiction with data protection rights and you have a question about data held about you, write to us and we will respond. For data held by GetYourGuide or Trip.com about a booking you made, please contact them directly, as we have no access to it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what services the site uses, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
